His love for music grew at the ripe age of 16 when he picked up his first electric guitar. Shalev is a self-taught musician who matured through sounds of Metallica, Pink Floyd, and Tool. “If they can play this lick, I can do it too,” is the philosophy Shalev lived by to create a perfect execution of sound. He immersed into a musical artist with his “Black Sabbath” cover band while playing on stages across the United States. Being on the road taught Shalev the art of connecting with his audiences. His humble beginning in the house music scene began after a night out in New York City’s infamous nightclub, Crobar to hear pioneer DJ Danny Tenaglia’s latest set. Shalev was introduced to the turntables and never looked back.
His creativity behind the decks flourished and with the influx of different sounds in New York, Shalev developed his own style and flair that is nothing short of explosive, exotic, dark, and powerful. The presence and connection he makes with every crowd he plays for, and his ability to make catchy rhythmic hooks allows him to execute energy that is consistent throughout his entire set .
